Howdy Ya'll!!! Just wanted to do a quick update and also share a cool link! First off, I am now on Pinterest! It is my personal account but it is linked to SheenaEsque up in the top of my sidebar with those other little icons. :) I also have a Pin It button at the bottom of the sidebar! So to all of you Pinners out there, scroll down and get your click on! Secondly, I posted some new items on the Etsy shop. Some more pog earrings and a Lucky Pin! Here are links to both of my quick updates:
So today I had a serious craving for pizza. Now I just bought some DiGiorno before leaving work because they were on sale. However, I wish I had the energy to get all the supplies and actually make a pizza. Not only do I appreciate the handmade version because of the love and work that went behind it BUT I could have been more customized and it would have been my ultimate dream pizza. Or it could have been from the following link. Over 40 different pizza recipes! Holy Pizza Batman!

Pink Ombre Cake

Yum Yum Yum... visually the shades of pink are awesome and it makes me think of one of my BFFs Amanda and her exceedingly beautiful cake decorating skills. And any slice of cake that is that big must be amazing and tasty.

Tons of hair tricks!

Ever see someone rocking a cute hair style and ask yourself "how did she do that?"...? Here you can find a lot of your answers.

Giant Paper Rose

Not only would this be a B-E-A-U-TIFUL thing to be holding while walking down the aisle, but I would love to make some and have them sitting in a vase on a coffee or side table.

Mess with deer cameras...

This really does sound like fun. The only downside is that you don't get to see their reaction. Unless you pick the camera of someone you know. They might even call you over to come look at the creepy photos they found on the memory card. :)

So after checking out the tutorial for sweater boots, I browsed around the Instrucatbles site for awhile and found something else I had to try immediately. A cover for iPads. I don't have an iPad but I do have a tablet. So I went through my fabric options (old clothes that I'm willing to cut up) and chose to shred apart my old vest I wore while working at a previous employer. lol And off to the sewing machine I went!

Now due to different resources and different size of technology, mine is slightly different than the one shown in the tutorial. I also decided to add little dabs of hot glue to the inside so my tablet wouldn't slide at all. I'm in love with it.  So check out the link and also I encourage you to look around a bit. Instructables is pretty awesome.

Next subject, my own creation. I was going through some stuff and I found an old wall calendar from 2005. It was the kind with two wooden dowels with those thin plastic strips that are sewn together and you can roll it up. I was going to throw it away but then I thought "I can do something with this." So I decided to paint on it. I found a cute quote online and went to town! I used acrylic and fabric paints (for shiny and raised text affect). I like how it turned out and wanted to share it with you all! :) Click on the images to get my step-by-step (aww, I miss that show) tutorial of what I did!

And last but most certainly not least, what I made for dinner tonight. It's brocc and cheese stuffed chicken breast with roasted potatoes and mixed veggies. I even channeled my inner iron chef and plated it all fancy like.

Many moons ago (actually it was more like Friday) my awesome friend Sarah sent me a link and told me it was a must see, and she was right! It was a tutorial on how to recycle an old sweater and an old pair of flats into sweater boots! UH-MAZE-ING! I knew I immediately must try this, even though it's been years since I've touched a sewing machine. And boy did this project remind me of my inexperience on multiple occasions.
After having major thread issues, having untangle some parts and forgetting how they went back together into the machine, and overusing the phrase "MOMMMMMMMM I NEED HELP AGAIN!!!", I had to take a break. So the next day I went back into full swing and finished my new comfy sweater boots. To be honest, I now that I've done it, I want to do it a second time because I know it would turn out better. But for a first timer who had to dust off her sewing machine, it turned out pretty good. Also, the instructions say to use a thick sweater, but I like all of my thick sweaters so I was decided to cut up an old thin sweater and used a second layer of sleeves from an old hoodie. I will say it would have been a lot easier if I only had one layer to work with. I think I'm going to go investigate a thrift shop for a thick sweater for a second pair.

Thank you Sarah for this awesome project! Also browse around on  Instructables because there is some pretty creative ideas on there. Great things to occupy your time on a rainy day!
