Connie from ThisOldDress is simply genius! She posted a step-by-step tutorial on how to make a braided scarf out of an old T-Shirt with no sewing needed! Just a pair of scissors! Not only is it simple, but it's adorable and unique as well! Definitely an attention getter, and a great gift idea too.

Now, I found this tutorial from a link in another tutorial for something similar. Basically, the people at Method took Connie's genius idea and found others that had similar ideas, and showcased each of them. They have a blog post about T-Shirt scarfs that can help you come up with ways on customizing one for yourself.

I went right to work and pulled two T-Shirts out of my closet that I don't wear anymore. One being a green St.Patty's day shirt, and the other was a tie-dye Steelers shirt. With the green shirt, I did Connie's version except I tied a bow with that last piece. (I've been kinda into bows lately, but that's another post lol). And with the Steelers shirt, I did a non-braided version (like the ones you can see in the Method post) and purposefully saved the piece with the Steelers logo as the piece to tie with. I posted some pics below to show you how mine turned out. I love them both SO much!

Try making your own and let me know how they turned out! I'd love to see pics of your beautiful scarves!
